I'm so annoyed at myself for not updating in so long. The holidays got me lazy again. As a brief update, I've been very much enjoying Lucifer - it's deliciously funny, but also heart-felt. It's winning my award for most improved show! Agents of Shield's LMD storyline has been excellent - I'm so enjoying it!
Loved the last episode of Legends of Tomorrow (The Raiders of the Lost Art). So good and so, so funny. Forgotten how much I love Arthur Darville! Every joke was on point!
I'm crossing my fingers and toes that Timeless gets renewed.
Sherlock was a revelation! I loved it, even if I have one or two issues, I was completely riveted and the naysayers can suck an egg as far as I'm concerned. I've even branched out into the Sherlock fanfic world. Who knows where it might lead?!

Sirius Black/Remus Lupin
Harry Potter/Severus Snape
James Kirk/Leonard Bones McCoy
If you're Starfleet, you spend your whole life wishing you never see an EPAS uniform right up until the moment they become your only hope. Whether you're dying a slow, cold death in space, or a long painful one on some godforsaken planet, they're going to come for you. So count your last breaths, son, and hold on tight. They leave no soul behind. (258, 951 words)
Accompanied by his parents, Spock visits an Earth resort where Jim Kirk is a dancer. Dirty Dancing redux. (45, 629 words)
First Officer Spock comments on life aboard the Enterprise and his service under Captain James T. Kirk. (262 chapters)
AU where Detective Spock, born on Vulcan and resident of San Francisco, is assigned to the Midwest police bureau, where he meets (and slowly falls for) Kirk. (149, 673 words)
A Reboot-Verse fic that deals with the fact that Spock's engagement to T'Pring was prematurely ended, and what that means for the Vulcan. Spock/Kirk. (52, 294 words)
Spock Prime mindmeld issues. It is the third mission of his command, and Captain James T. Kirk suspects he is going insane. (7699 words)
"Commander Spock, we have located your son," the Vulcan lady on the screen says, which would be great, except Jim can tell by the look on Spock's face that he's never heard of this kid before in his life. "If it is expedient, the child will be sent to join you on the Enterprise within the week." (83, 677 words)
Captain James T. Kirk and Lieutenant Commander Spock are hereby charged with negligence and wanton misconduct due to their emotional compromise with each other. (174, 747 words)
The Federation and the Romulan Empire have been on the verge of war for what sometimes feels like forever; this is the place where what passes for peace might end. (148, 945 words)
Ianto Jones/Jack Harkness
A time travelling, action-adventure, romance-filled science fiction romp ensues when Ianto runs into Jack in the fifty-first century after an accident with a vortex manipulator. Laser blasters, alien dance clubs, mercenaries, a little too much public sex for Ianto's tastes, sneaky plans and circular logic can be found here. Set after Something Borrowed, but not particularly "AU" - it slots into season 2. (101, 136 words)
Behind-the-scenes, sort of - filling in the gaps between the episodes, and trying to get into Ianto's head. (151, 875 words)

Arrow: So It Begins
I understand why Oliver wouldn't tell his new team all his deep, dark secrets - he barely knows these kids! Every week one or other of them screws up in some way - it was Evelyn's turn tonight, by turning off her earpiece and not alerting the others to Prometheus's presence.
Why should he have to bare his soul to these newbies, anyway? It took time for OTA to earn his trust, and rightly so. Sure, I can understand their side of it, having a mentor that holds stuff back and treats them like they're stuck at the kiddie table must suck, but darnit, I much prefer Original Team Arrow. Begone, newbie team. Although rag mag can stay. He's a sweetie! Why couldn't they have brought back Roy?! My lovable little parkour-man!
Detective Lance is simultaneously breaking my heart and making me want the thwap him up the side of the head, Gibbs style. Listen to Thea, Quentin! There no way he's Promethus - I'm not even attempting to buy it, show, so don't start!
Still undecided about Felicity's new beau. I like that Felicity is back to her old self, but I miss her adorable, sweet moments with Ollie - those two belong together! Why can't shows let happy couples be happy? Urgh!
I'm enjoying the Russian Bratva storyline - much, much better than last year's B plot. Anatoly is a hoot, and I like seeing Oliver merge into his season one self before our eyes.
That's it from me!
So, what's been holding my attention recently? Well, season 12 of Supernatural, I suppose. Can you believe our little show that could has reached 12 seasons?! Unbelievable! Sure, the road has been a rocky one, but I'm (we're?) still here, enjoying the ride. I still meet up with my bestie every Sunday to watch the newest episode, been doing it for years. I love a tradition!
I'm completely besotted with Marvel at the moment - my OTP of choice used to be Clint/Coulson, but now I'm all about Stucky! I like a fandom where I can explore it from many different avenues, like Supernatural or Harry Potter. Gives it longevity.
Visiting Florida this past September and actually walking down Diagon Alley was a complete dream come true for this Harry Potter fanatic! I can't explain how it felt to walk through the wall at King's Cross and see the wizarding world open up before me. It was surreal, in the best possible way. I wasn't quite as big a fan of their version of Hogsmeade, though. It was totally incongruous to see snow-topped buildings in the sweltering Florida sun. Pulled me right out of the illusion (although the frozen Butterbeer was rendered all the more special in the heat). I'd live there, if I could. Well, if it was cooler (like Scotland temp). And cheaper. Much, much cheaper!
